Welcome

Our Purpose: The Robert Welch Book Club provides participants with an opportunity to deepen their understanding of Robert Welch’s wisdom and philosophy. Members will become more effective advocates for the cause of Americanism, develop a stronger grasp of Constitutional Originalism, gain a clearer historical perspective, and acquire a practical knowledge of what it is to be an American.

Our Objective: Having completed the foundational works of Robert Welch, we are now exploring additional books to further expand and deepen our education, continuing in alignment with his principles.

Our Expectations: In order to educate others, we must first educate ourselves, and reading is the most effective way to gain lasting knowledge. We encourage participants to read 30 to 50 pages each week, depending on the complexity of the book. Once we begin a new book, the group may decide to adjust the page count as needed based on the reading material.

The Formality: The classes will be informal, with the leader acting as a guide and moderator. Prompts will be provided to keep the discussion focused on topics drawn from the current reading.

The Time and Place: Classes will be held on the 3rd Thursday of each month from 7 PM to 8ish Eastern Time via Zoom. Everyone is welcome to join at any time, regardless of the book being read. Once a person registers, the Zoom link will be emailed to them, along with monthly updates and reminders. Our current reading assignment is listed below. Members are encouraged to obtain the current book (either a hard copy or PDF) and read the assignment prior to the monthly Zoom meeting. However, feel free to join the discussion even if you haven’t completed the reading.

This Website: This website is updated weekly with assignments, links to discussion topics and books, information on where to purchase hard copies, as well as free PDFs of most books. If you encounter any issues with the links or the site, please contact the Webmaster, Linda, for assistance.
